Want to Be Kind? Open Your Eyes!

Kindness doesn’t start with doing something big — it starts with seeing the world differently. 🙌

In the story of the Good Samaritan, Jesus shows us that compassion begins with awareness:

Hurry kills kindness! 😤

When you rush, you miss what God wants you to see. A plane trip is fast but blind — you see nothing but clouds. But when you walk, you notice people, needs, and opportunities to care.

📖 “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” — 1 Corinthians 10:24 (ESV)

👉 Try This:

Ditch the rush! 🚶‍♀️ Walk instead of drive one day this week. Look around — who needs encouragement, help, or prayer? Spot a need? Act on it!

2️⃣ Tune Your Spiritual Radar

Got spiritual ADD like me? 😅 It’s easy to be distracted and miss what’s right in front of us. Ask God to sharpen your spiritual radar to pick up on hurting hearts.

Some of us are naturally observant; others need to practice noticing. Either way, God can train your eyes to see through His love.

Before you leave the house today, pray:

“Lord, open my eyes to one person who needs kindness.”

Then pay attention — He’ll show you. 👀

3️⃣ Don’t Ignore — Act!

Ignoring needs means ignoring God’s invitations. 🚫

When you see someone struggling, it’s not just a coincidence — it’s a calling. The Spirit nudges us toward compassion that bears eternal fruit.

📖 “For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” — Galatians 6:8 (ESV)

Think of one coworker, classmate, or neighbor you usually overlook.

Offer a kind word, a smile, or a helping hand. Small acts of love make an eternal impact. 💖
