Two Powerful Ways to Crush Fear Once and For All
We all have fears. That’s not the problem.
The real question is: What are you going to DO with your fear?
Jesus said it plain and simple:
“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32 ESV)
Here are two battle-tested, biblical strategies you can start using TODAY to kick fear to the curb.
1. Practice the Presence of Jesus 👑💛
(Your #1 Fear-Killing Superpower)
“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.” (1 John 4:18 ESV)
God is not far away. He’s right here. Right now.
The moment you become aware of His nearness, fear starts packing its bags.
→ Start talking to Jesus ALL DAY LONG.
Driving? Talk to Him. Showering? Worship out loud. Walking the dog? Thank Him for every step.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” (Philippians 4:6 ESV)
When you live aware of His presence, you’re wrapped in perfect love… and perfect love is a fear exterminator.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
(Psalm 46:1 ESV)
2. Move AGAINST the Fear 🏃♂️⚔️
(Faith in Motion = Fear Demolition)
You can’t tiptoe around fear. You can’t outsmart it.
You have to punch it in the face and walk straight through it.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
(Joshua 1:9 ESV)
Do the thing you’re scared to do.
Make the call. Send the text. Apologize first. Step on stage. Share your faith.
Fear is F.E.A.R. → False Evidence Appearing Real
99% of the time, the monster in the closet is just a coat hanger.
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
(2 Timothy 1:7 ESV)
The moment you take that step of faith, fear loses its power. Every single time.
Your Action Steps This Week 🚀
- Set a reminder on your phone 5× a day that says: “Jesus is right here with me.”
- Name your biggest fear right now → then write down ONE scary step you’ll take this week to move against it.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you… Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” (John 14:27 ESV)
Closing Prayer 🙏
Father, thank You that You are closer than my next breath.
Flood my heart with the truth of Your perfect love that drives out every trace of fear.
Give me crazy-bold faith to run straight at whatever is trying to intimidate me today.
I declare: I am not a slave to fear—I am a child of God!
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Now GO crush that fear, warrior. 🔥
Want to Be a KINDER Person?
Here’s the deal: Kindness isn’t on YOUR schedule—it’s on THEIRS.
Be ready to drop everything & show love, even when it’s inconvenient. ⏰
And yeah, it’s scary to step out, but God’s got you! 🙌
📖 “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.”
— 1 John 4:18 (ESV)
✨ Kindness = Love in Action.
💡 The Good Samaritan’s Lesson (Luke 10:25–37 ESV)
The Good Samaritan shows us two life-changing truths about kindness 👇
1️⃣ Kindness Is Willing to Be Interrupted ⏰
Love isn’t always convenient.
Real kindness happens when you let God rearrange your plans to care for someone in need.
📖 “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.”
— Proverbs 3:27 (ESV)
When compassion calls—don’t delay.
2️⃣ Kindness Takes Risks 💪
Fear whispers:
“What if I can’t help?”
“What if it costs too much?”
“What if they reject me?”
But love says: Step in anyway.
📖 “Let all that you do be done in love.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:14 (ESV)
When you take risks to love, you reflect the heart of Jesus. ❤️
🙌 God’s Appointments Aren’t Accidents
God puts hurting people in your path on purpose—to grow kindness in you. 🌱
Don’t blow it off. Seize the moment!
🔥 This week: Be ready. Someone on your path will need your kindness.
Will you stop, risk, and love? 💖
Maybe it’s:
- A kind word 🗣️
- A helping hand 🤝
- Or simply listening 👂
💪 God’s love flowing through you can heal hearts—yours and theirs.
🙏 Prayer
Father,
Give me eyes to see the people in need that You place in my path.
Give me courage to step past fear and act with kindness, even when it’s tough.
Fill my heart with Your perfect love that casts out fear.
Help me be kind like Jesus today.
Amen.
