Come to God Just As You Are
π‘ So many people think:
π βI need to get my life together before I come to God.β
π βIβve got to fix this habit first.β
π βIβm not good enough yet.β
π« Thatβs a lie! The Bible says:
π βBut God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.β β Romans 5:8 (NLT)
π Jesus didnβt wait for you to clean up your life β He came for you in the middle of your mess.
π Think about it: You donβt brush your teeth perfectly before the dentist cleans them. You donβt scrub dishes spotless before putting them in the dishwasher. Why do we think we need to be perfect before running to God?
God says:
π βCome to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.β β Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
π βHe will send down help from heaven to save me because of his love.β β Psalm 57:3 (TLB)
π₯ The truth:
You come with your problems. The good. The bad. The ugly.
God is not asking you to make promises you canβt keep β Heβs asking you to believe the promise only He can keep.
β€οΈ The Bible says:
π βIf you declare with your mouth, βJesus is Lord,β and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.β β Romans 10:9 (NIV)
π Prayer:
Lord, thank You that I donβt have to fix myself before coming to You. I bring You my whole heart β the broken parts, the struggles, and the sin. I believe that Jesus died and rose again for me. Help me to live in Your love and grace every day. Amen.
β¨ No more waiting. Come as you are. Heβs ready for you today.
